Usal NYC Pop-up Powered by Native Shoes
This past September, we joined Usal’s much-anticipated 3-day pop-up event in Soho. We’ve teamed up with Usal before, but this time we really got to introduce ourselves to the community. Of course, we showed up with an Usal favorite—the Fitzsimmons boot but also brought along the new Apollo 10 sneaker, giving everyone a sneak peek of it before it officially dropped.
The weekend was buzzing (as you’d expect from the city that never sleeps). Over 2,500 outdoor enthusiasts turned out to learn, explore, and shop. We were in great company too, with fellow outdoor-loving brands like Freaks of Nature, Crap Eyewear, and Lou Equipment.
It was a weekend all about adventure and community, bringing together those who love nature in both style and spirit.

Over the weekend, we got to spend some quality time outdoors. Usal hosted a foraging adventure in Central Park, led by forest farmer, herbalist, and kitchen witch Tanya Himeji Romero of Woodland Pantry. As we strolled through the park, gathering plants, Tanya shared her knowledge on their medicinal and culinary uses, along with tips on how to incorporate them into everyday life. It was a refreshing reminder of how deeply nature sustains and connects us.
Everyone on the adventure was decked out in either Jeffersons or Fitzsimmons, so they could explore nature in the present and in the future.
