  1. How will entries be judged?

    Our team of judges will be looking for three key things:

    1) Creativity - Did you think out of the box? Did you bring your idea to life in a colorful, artistic way?

    2) Purpose - Does your big idea solve a real-world problem?

    3) Lightheartedness - Does your idea spread happiness? After all, we love to #LiveLightly

  2. Who is eligible to participate?

    Residents of Canada and the United States, over the age of 18 are welcome to enter the #WhatIfWeCreated contest.

  3. I am having issues uploading my entry. What can I do?

    First off, double check that the file size of your artwork is below 15MB and is in .jpg, .jpeg, .gif or .png format.
    Second, ensure that all mandatory fields are filled out (e.g. name, email address and a short description of your big idea).

  4. What supplies can I use in my photo/artwork?

    The art world is your oyster! From pen to paint, and chalk to collage, we suggest using all of your favorite Crayola tools.

  5. My son/daughter wants to enter but is under age. Can I enter on their behalf?

    Our contest is open to those that are ages 18 and above. However, we encourage you to gather inspiration from your little one’s own big ideas for your submission.

  6. How does voting work?

    Visit the contest page between May 21 2021 and June 4 2021 and simply click on the "thumbs up" icon to vote for your favorite entries.

  8. What are the prizes?

    The Grand Prize for the winner is a $4,000 donation to a charity relevant to your big idea, a pair of Native Shoes x Crayola collection shoes, a Crayola prize pack and a custom piece of artwork that is inspired by your idea, painted by muralist Mason Eve.
    Two runners up will each win a pair of Native Shoes and a Crayola prize pack.

  9. What is included in the Crayola prize pack?

    The Grand Prize Pack includes: 1 Deluxe Art Set, 1 64-Ct Washable Broad Line Markers, 1 8-Ct Window Markers, 1 Epic Book of Awesome, 1 Art with Edge, Animal Ink, 1 9-Ct Glitter Glue, 1 96-Ct Construction Paper, 1 48-Ct Sidewalk Chalk. Each Runner-up Pack (2) includes: 1 Imagination Art Set, 2 6-Ct Washable Project Paint, 1 4-Ct Big Paintbrushes, 1 5-Ct Glitter Glue, 1 96-Ct Construction Paper, 1 16-Ct Washable Sidewalk Chalk.

  10. How many winners will there be?

    There will be a total of three winners. 1 Grand Prize winner and 2 Runner-ups.

  11. How will the charity be chosen?

    We will work with the winner to select a charity that is reflective of their big idea, where the donation can help to bring their idea to life.

  12. How will a winner be chosen?

    The public votes and internal company votes are weighted and both will be taken into account to determine the winners.

  13. How will the Top 10 be chosen?

    The Native Shoes and Crayola team will pick their top 10 favorite entries according to how well the entries fulfil the following critieria: creativity, purpose and lightheartedness.

  14. What is the timeline for the contest?

    Contest submissions open on Tuesday, April 27 and go until May 16, 2021. The Top 10 entries will then be displayed on the #WhatIfWeCreated contest page on May 21, 2021. Voting opens May 21 and runs until June 4. On June 11, 2021, one Grand Prize winner will be notified/announced along with two Runner-ups.
