My favorite shoes. Ever.
I found my first Natives at an overstock/discount store more than a decade ago and thought it worth the $11 risk. A few days later I came back and bought every pair they had in my size. Jefferson and Miles shoes have been my daily shoes since then (only switching — rarely — to something else when colder weather or more formal situations require).
Be aware that as the tread wears thin, these can become perilously slippery *on smooth, wet concrete* (or maybe smooth wet tile). If your walking surface is dry or has any texture to it, you'll be fine. But smooth wet concrete can be like ice, and that can be quite the shock if you're not expecting it. Clearly a good solution is: When the tread wears thin get a new pair and only wear the old ones on dry days. (Yes, my wife sometimes micromanages my shoe choice in support of my safety and well-being.)
In any case, get the right fit (experiment if you have to) and you'll be hard-pressed to find a more comfortable shoe. I've historically been a 9½ or 10, and have been very comfortable with a 10 in both the Jefferson and Miles styles (typically, but not always, worn with socks).
