How does the Native Shoes Remix™ Project work?

The Remix Project was born out of our purpose – encouraging everyone to ask more what ifs. We asked the question: what if we could recycle our shoes to give them a second life?
From there, we investigated ways in which we could grind and repurpose the bouncy, lightweight materials for which our shoes are known and loved.
The unique composition of Native Shoes can be reground into versatile material that is useful in the creation of seating, playground flooring, insulation and more. Other shoes are sorted and donated to good causes, or recycled via our partners across the globe. From that point – there’s no telling where your soles could turn up!

Where can I recycle my Native Shoes?

It’s easy and free to recycle your Native Shoes via the Native Shoes Remix™ Project, with help from our shipping partners via Zappos for Good).

1. Create an account – or log into an existing account - with our shipping partner Zappos for Good, and print out a FREE return shipping label.
2. Fill out the applicable return label form.
3. Pack up the item(s) in a sealable bag or box. Attach return shipping label to the package.
4. Drop it off to your local UPS store, and you’re all done!
