Meet the Nova Hydroknit, one of our brightest shining stars. Form fit, waterproof technologies, and made with minimal waste. Weave through the galaxy in a sleek, recycled 3D knit upper and keep extra dry thanks to stain-resistant spray protection and waterproof inner membrane. Nova's contoured sole allows for extra grip and traction, yet remains ultra lightweight for hovering the hemisphere.

Meet the Nova Hydroknit

Designed for the drip, Hydroknit means that we've constructed a shoe that is simultaneously breathable and waterproof. Nova's upper is double-layered with a knit fabric made of 50% recycled PET yarn, treated with a water/stain-resistant spray, and an interior waterproof membrane that seals out further penetration. The perfect shoe to keep away everything from rain showers to slushy snow days.

Omg my all time favourite

Omg my all time favourite waterproof boots. They are super light and comfortable!! No need to break these in. I recommend sizing up. I had to return the size 7 and order an 8 and they fit great with thick socks. Thanks Native!

I love these boots. Like

I love these boots. Like all the Native Shoes I've bought, they're super comfy and look great. I am usually a size 7, sized up to 8 on these which is perfect, so I'd say they fit small. Finally, something that resembles a Blundstone that these vegan feet can wear 😁

My favorite shoes!

I never leave reviews, but I have been wearing these boots for several years and they are so wonderful. The all-black design hides dirt and easily wipes clean, they are super comfortable and my feet stay dry. They do take a bit of work to get on and off, but I’ve really enjoyed them and hope you always continue making them!!!

Super shoes! I bought a pair years ago and wore them 3 (dutch!) autums and winters and they are still totally waterproof and really comfortable. I've bought a new pair now because the old ones are getting a bit shabby ;-) very good value for money!!

Q: Are these sufficient for athletic hiking boots? Do they have any ankle support? Or are they mainly meant for daily casual wear?

A: Hi Zel,

All of our shoes and boots are designed to be worn for every day casual wear, so unfortunately they aren't certified for running, working out, or strenuous activities.

The insoles are incredibly cushy and shock absorbent and will soften and mould to the foot with repeated wear! However they are not designed to offer much arch support 💙

While the boot itself is waterproof, we would advise caution wearing the Nova Hydroknit in colder temperatures as it is not temperature rated.

Q: Hi ! What does the insole look like ? Is it removable ? I have to wear orthopedic soles that are quite bulky (not wide but high arch).

A: Hi So! Thanks for your question! 😊

The insole in the Nova is removeable! However they are a fitted boot, and sadly may not have enough extra room to comfortably fit a bulkier orthopedic sole.

You may find that one of our lace up boots like the Chamonix or Johnny Treklite would be a better option!
