Excessive amounts of carbon dioxide (CO2), a warming climate, and water pollution are causing harmful algae blooms to grow at extraordinary speeds. The overgrown algae consumes oxygen and blocks sunlight, which can have harmful effects on marine life and even people.

These fossil fuels account for over 75% of global greenhouse gas emissions that blanket the earth, trap heat, and warm the planet. It’s a big reason for climate change and why we’re invested in finding new natural material solutions.
