With a desire to support and educate children on the power of art, Chelsea Phaire founded Chelsea's Charity at just 10 years old. It all started when, in lieu of birthday presents, Phaire asked family and friends for art supplies so that she could make her first set of art kits. Chelsea's Charity is a nonprofit organization that is devoted to providing art supplies and lessons to children in homeless shelters, foster care agencies, hospitals and more. Since its inception in 2019, Chelsea's Charity has donated over 20,000 kits to kids in need.

Q: What has been the most interesting or memorable thing to happen to you since you began Chelsea's Charity?
A: One of the most memorable things was when I got to deliver art kits to a school in El Paso, Texas after a mass shooting happened only a few months before. It was one of our first distributions in the charity's history. It meant a lot to me and I made lots of friends. I even got to teach an art lesson and provide kits to kids. It was amazing to see the kids create artwork with their new supplies. Everyone was so happy, which in turn, made me very happy and it was an experience that I'll never forget.
Q: Who or what drives you to continue doing what you're doing?
A: Something that drives me to continue this charity work is the impact that we have on different communities. Even though managing the charity is a lot of work sometimes, it's always worth it just to see kids, adults and teenagers smile when they receive their kits.
Q: What are your hopes and dreams for your generation and our planet?
A: A dream that I've always had is for world peace. I would love all humans to come together and put aside their differences and live together in peace. I hope my generation can be a huge part in helping us all have more peace in our lives.
Q: What advice would you give to your fellow Generation Do'ers and aspiring young entrepreneurs?
A: Always hold on to your dreams and be passionate about everything you do. Art is something I'm passionate about and I wanted to give everything I had to my charity. Everything starts with a dream. Once you find your dream, talk to a trusted adult and brainstorm ways you can make your dream come true!
Q: What's next for Chelsea's Charity?
A: Something that will hopefully come next for the charity is more art cabinets in different communities so that everyone has access to art, no matter what.
Q: When you're not working, how do you like to spend your time?
A: When I'm not working, I like to spend my time creating art, doing homework and creating stories with my own illustrations. I also love Broadway and hope that I can see another show really soon.
